£16 million thank yous!

Since 2017, our partnership with CLIC Sargent has gone with a bang and the total has now sky-rocketed to an incredible £16.5 million for young lives facing cancer.

A huge thank you to all customers for their generosity in making this amazing achievement a reality.

As one Young Lives vs Cancer mum recently described, ‘Morrisons enthusiasm from day one really does add the extra sparkle to the partnership’.

How you’ve made a difference

The £16.5 million raised since February 2017 has helped Young Lives vs Cancer to:

Give more than 6,200 grants to families and young people which help with the unexpected costs of cancer, such as travel and increased household bills.

  • Create a new Nurse Educator programme improving the quality of support for young cancer patients closer to home, meaning less disruption to family life.
  • Fund a ‘Home Comforts’ scheme where parents who are not staying in a CLIC Sargent Home from Home can use it as a daytime base and spend time away from the ward.
  • Provide new online support groups for young people and parents helping them to connect with others, as well as launching a live chat function so anyone in the UK can access professional social care support.

More to do

We’re now aiming to raise £17.5 million by the end of the partnership in January 2022 so we can finish and open Jack’s House - meaning more families will be able to stay together when facing cancer treatment.
