We’ve reached the end of the first year of our charity partnership with Together For Short Lives and we’re proud to announce that we’ve raised over £2.6 million! A huge thank you to our customers, colleagues and suppliers who have gone above and beyond to raise vital funds for local children’s hospices. Every penny helps families caring for a seriously ill child treasure every moment together.

This money could help fund:

  • 1,608 families to have respite care at their local hospice, giving them time together as a family.
  • 9 multi-sensory rooms at a children’s hospice, equipped with fibre optics, mirrors, lights and bubble tubes so that children can have a special sensory play experience.
  • 129 families make precious memories – making every special occasion count, as families know that one day they will be facing their last together.
  • 4 Community Support Workers to reach thousands more families that need essential care and help.
  • 400 families to benefit from Together for Short Lives Cost of Living Support Fund, to help ease the burden of families’ rising bills and keep life-sustaining equipment running.

We hope to raise £10 million by October 2024, so there's still lots that we can do to help families caring for a seriously ill child treasure every moment they have together. Families like Amelia’s.

Meet Amelia

Amelia, who’s just one, was diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder. She lives in Hertfordshire with her parents and older sister Penelope, and is being brilliantly supported by Keech Hospice Care in Luton.

Amelia’s mum said: “Thank you to Morrisons colleagues and customers for raising this incredible amount of money. It will help Together for Short Lives and children’s hospices across the country continue to be a lifeline to families like mine.”

Thank you to everyone who's helped us raise this incredible amount in the first year of our partnership.
