We’re proud that Morrisons is one of the signatories to WRAP’s UK Plastics PACT, an industry initiative designed to change how businesses use plastic - and prevent plastic pollution.
One of the things we’ve done so far is to focus on how we serve our food to you. If you choose to, you can now bring your own containers to Market Street, and ask our fishmongers and butchers to serve your fish and meat in containers you already own.
We'll still serve you from the Morrisons Market Street Butcher, Deli and Fishmonger counter using the usual store containers - but you can now bring your own containers if you'd prefer us to serve your items in this.
Of course, you can still take your slices, fillets, steaks and other food away in the plastic tubs and bags we provide, but the more items we serve into reusable tubs our customers bring along with them, the more waste we can prevent. If you're buying fruit & veg on Market Street at Morrisons, we've brought back brown paper bags to reduce plastic use in our greengrocery areas too.
