Rainbow Slushies
So nostalgic you can almost hear the sounds of the ice cream van… Our Rainbow Slushies have four layers of fresh British fruit and take just 10 mins to make, so blitz up something beautifully refreshing this summer.
Time: 20 mins plus freezing time prior
Serves: 4 slushies
Ingredients
For the blue layer: - 300g frozen blueberries
- 1 tbsp honey
- 200ml sparkling water
For the green layer: - 300g kiwi peeled, chopped into chunks & frozen
- 1 tbsp honey
- 200ml sparkling water
For the yellow layer: - 300g Mango peeled, chopped into chunks & frozen
- 1 tbsp honey
- 200ml sparkling water
For the red layer: - 300g strawberries stalk removed, chopped in half & frozen
- 1 tbsp honey
- 200ml sparkling water
You will also need:
Method - Pop all blue layer ingredients in a blender with a large handful of ice cubes and blitz into a slush. Split amongst 4 glasses to create the bottom layer. Rinse blender.
- Pop all green layer ingredients in a blender with a large handful of ice cubes and blitz into a slush. Split amongst the glasses to create the second layer. Rinse blender.
- Pop all yellow layer ingredients in a blender with a large handful of ice cubes and blitz into a slush. Split amongst the glasses to create the third layer. Rinse blender.
- Pop all red layer ingredients in a blender with a large handful of ice cubes and blitz into a slush. Split amongst the glasses to create the top layer.
- Finish with sprinkles and fruit to garnish for a healthier alternative to a retro cinema fave!
