Rainbow Slushies

So nostalgic you can almost hear the sounds of the ice cream van… Our Rainbow Slushies have four layers of fresh British fruit and take just 10 mins to make, so blitz up something beautifully refreshing this summer. 

Time: 20 mins plus freezing time prior

Serves: 4 slushies

Ingredients

For the blue layer:

  • 300g frozen blueberries
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 200ml sparkling water

For the green layer:

  • 300g kiwi peeled, chopped into chunks & frozen
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 200ml sparkling water

For the yellow layer:

  • 300g Mango peeled, chopped into chunks & frozen
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 200ml sparkling water

For the red layer:

  • 300g strawberries stalk removed, chopped in half & frozen
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 200ml sparkling water

You will also need:

  • Ice cubes

Method

  1. Pop all blue layer ingredients in a blender with a large handful of ice cubes and blitz into a slush. Split amongst 4 glasses to create the bottom layer. Rinse blender.
  2. Pop all green layer ingredients in a blender with a large handful of ice cubes and blitz into a slush. Split amongst the glasses to create the second layer. Rinse blender.
  3. Pop all yellow layer ingredients in a blender with a large handful of ice cubes and blitz into a slush. Split amongst the glasses to create the third layer. Rinse blender.
  4. Pop all red layer ingredients in a blender with a large handful of ice cubes and blitz into a slush. Split amongst the glasses to create the top layer.
  5. Finish with sprinkles and fruit to garnish for a healthier alternative to a retro cinema fave!

4-Ingredient Jam Margarita

You can make our 4-ingredient jam margarita with…you guessed it, just 4 ingredients. Grab some lime, jam, Cointreau, and tequila to shake up a deliciously fresh drink for guests at your next summer party. 

Time: 5 mins

Serves: 1

Ingredients

  • 25ml lime juice
  • 1 1/2 tbsp smooth strawberry jam
  • 50ml tequila
  • 25ml Cointreau

Garnishes (optional):  

  • 3 tsp salt
  • 2 lime wedges
  • Strawberries

Method

  1. For extra garnishing, start by sprinkling salt onto a plate. Run the rim of your glass with a lime wedge and then dip the rim of the glass in the salt to fully cover. Fill with ice.
  2. Mix your lime juice, jam, tequila, and Cointreau in a small jug until combined. Fill your empty jam jar with ice, pour over your mix, pop the lid on and shake vigorously for 20 seconds until the outside of the shaker feels very cold.
  3. Strain into your glass and garnish with a strawberry and lime wedge.

Ramblers Red Velvet Hot Chocolate

Get ready to hear “just one more” a whole lot more. Our Ramblers Red Velvet Hot Chocolate tastes just like its cake namesake and can go straight into a flask for your family summer adventures, just don’t forget the marshmallows. 

Time: 15 mins

Serves: 4 (1 large flask)

Ingredients

  • 100g cream cheese
  • 400ml whole milk
  • 300ml double cream
  • 150g dark chocolate
  • 150g white chocolate
  • 2 tbsp icing sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 drops red food colouring (optional)

To serve:

  • Squirty cream
  • White chocolate sprinkles
  • Strawberry sauce
  • Mini marshmallows

Method

  1. Use a stick blender to combine your cream cheese, milk and double cream until smooth and no lumps remain. 
  2. Add to a pan over a medium heat with all other ingredients. Heat and continuously whisk until the chocolate has melted and mixture is smooth. 
  3. Stir through food colouring and pour into your flask ready for your next adventure. When ready to serve, pour into mugs, top with squirty cream, white chocolate sprinkles. strawberry sauce and marshmallows.
