Cows supplying milk to our 'Milk for Farmers' range have the freedom to graze outside whenever the weather is favourable. In 2022, these cows grazed for an average of 239 days, enjoying the grass, fresh air and freedom of pastures in between milking times.
We launched our 'For Farmers' range in 2015 so customers could show support for farmers by choosing a range which commits extra money to go straight back to those people who produced it. Ian Barker from North Hill Farm looks after 150 cows on his family farm, along with his wife and 3 sons. The cows produce over 1.3 million litres of milk every year which comes straight to Morrisons after being put into bottles at his local Arla processing plant.

Did you know, cows like to spend around 13 hours every day lying down or resting, though will only be asleep for about 4 hours?
The rest of their time is spent eating (2.5 hours on 9-14 meals per day); being milked (around 30 minutes), and socialising with other cows (30 minutes).
