This Christmas we're once again supporting The Trussell Trust, through our Morrisons Foundation Christmas Appeal, as food banks face their toughest winter yet. Between 28th November and 26th December, when you shop online, you can add a donation to your basket for The Trussell Trust and The Morrisons Foundation will match your donation, to help people facing hardship this winter.

What is our Xmas Appeal?

Our Xmas Appeal allows you to help us support The Trussell Trust, chosen by The Morrisons Foundation this Christmas, by adding a donation to your online shop. The Trussell Trust supports a nationwide network of food banks, providing emergency food and support to people in crisis. With the cost of living crisis and more extreme conditions drawing in over the Christmas period, they’ve never needed our help more. 

 

How can you support?

It’s super easy to support our Xmas Appeal this year. From Monday 28th November through to 26th December, our Christmas Appeal offers you the opportunity to add a donation of £1, £3, £5 or £10 to your shop. So simply click here to select the amount you’d like to contribute and then pay as normal for your online shop. We’re really grateful for every single contribution and remember, The Morrisons Foundation will match donations from Morrisons online customers up to a maximum of £125,000.

Who are The Trussell Trust?

The Trussell Trust supports food banks to provide emergency food and support, and in addition to this, campaign for change to end the need for food banks in the UK.

 

Why do they need our help?

Food banks across the Trussell Trust network are expecting to provide more than one million emergency food parcels between December 2023 and February 2024 – the most parcels ever provided across this period. This equates to an average of one food parcel every eight seconds (11,500 a day) and 7,000 people seeking support each day.

 

How will your donation help?

Donations to the Christmas Appeal will help them to raise vital funds to meet this increased demand. For more information on The Trussell Trust click here. 

W M Morrisons Supermarkets Plc will transfer 100% of your donations to The Morrisons Foundation (registered charity number: 1160224 (England and Wales and SC045634 (Scotland) and registered company number: 09104264) to support The Morrisons Foundation’s Christmas Appeal. As part of the Morrisons Foundation’s Christmas Appeal, it has agreed to match fund Morrisons’ online customer’s donations up to a maximum of £125,000, with the total amount of donations and matched funds then being distributed by the Foundation to Trussell Trust a charity registered in England & Wales (1110522) and Scotland (SC044246).
