British Doubles tennis ace Jamie Murray took time out from his Wimbledon preparations last week as he helped out (and did his weekly shop) at the ‘Murrisons’ store in The Broadway. The store will be getting behind the tournament for the next two weeks, and you can head down to catch a few sets on the big screen in our spectator area before you pick up your groceries.

As Jamie’s ‘home store’, Morrisons Wimbledon is proud to support his - and all our other British players’ - efforts every July. Each year we celebrate the Great British tournament with ‘Love Tennis’, who hold an annual spectator event in front of the store with a 30ft giant TV screen, ‘lawned’ area and deck chairs for fans. And of course, you’ll find plenty of Strawberries & Cream on our shelves too.
This week, Jamie called in for a few essentials, and met fans as he played table tennis, signed merchandise, took selfies and even jumped behind our fish counter and checkouts for a few ‘serves’ of a different kind.
Jamie's visit to our Morrisons Wimbledon store was in partnership with the Official Wine of British Tennis, Anakena - which goes wonderfully well with an evening session of Centre Court action in front of the television.
