This handy travel checklist will help you get set for the summer. Whether you're checking in at the airport or a staycation hotel, here are a few things for you to tick off on your to-do list.

Take care of the holiday First Aid

As well as fun in the sun, summer brings with it insect bites, hay fever and sunburn. It’s important to stock up on things like plasters, wipes and creams you might need - look out for travel-size essentials that will save a little space in your luggage.

If you’re flying away on holiday, you can only carry liquids in bottles of up to 100ml. You’ll need to put your cosmetics in a clear plastic bag at airport security too, so try to save on space and avoid taking anything you won’t need.

Have fun choosing some travel toys

If you’re jetting off on your summer holidays, you can buy buckets and spades or other bulky playthings when you get there. If you’re staying in the UK for a seaside holiday, you can always buy them when you call into a local Morrisons for your groceries.

Top up your beach books library

Pick up a book or three to keep you going all the way through your holiday. You can find a selection of page-turners for all the family online and order them with your other holiday items for delivery. You could even take activity books like ‘I-Spy At The Seaside’ to add to the fun.

Arrange your parking

Airport parking can be hard to arrange if you leave it too late. It’s best to get this sorted as soon as you can to make sure you get a space. If you’re driving a long way for a staycation, get prepared with our top road trip tips and remember to plan a few stops for filling up your tank.

Order your ‘back home’ groceries

You can book a delivery slot for Morrisons online shopping ready for your return - and arrange for us to drop off everything you need when you get back to fill your fridge and top up your cupboards...without having to go on another trip as soon as you get home.

Call on your neighbours

Let your neighbours know you’re going away, and ask them to keep an eye on your house and water the plants for you - they might even be able to look after your pets if you ask nicely. Remember to leave a contact number in case of emergency - and get them a little something as a souvenir (or when you get back if the suitcases are too full).

Get packing

If you’re travelling with children, giving them their own case to look after (like our animal kiddie cases available in selected stores) can make the journey even more of an adventure.
